This is the song that came to me after I recommitted my life to Christ and my marriage. My wife ,Sonja, was going through the Weigh Down Series and the theme was Desert testing and out of Egypt. I listened to a lot of the tapes with her and read some of the work books as well. The song speaks of how I put myself in that desert and how I long for spiritual life instead of all the time that I had spent in the Church dead to the spirit. It was a time of awakening to what God could do in me if I allow him to do so. I hope you enjoy the words and you can hear the song on my indieheaven site.
Thank you for checking out my blog and God Bess,

Let It Rain
I’ve been wandering this desert, it seems like forever.
So dusty and dry, blown around like a feather.
I look to the sky; I see no change in the weather.
Let it rain. Let it rain
I’ve spent most of my life tryin’ to put myself first.
And I was taken by surprise when the bubble burst.
Now I realize that I’m dyin’ of thirst.
Let it rain, let it rain
Let it rain like a river rushing over my head.
Like Lazarus raise me up from the dead.
I choose to follow though not easily lead.
I’m back on the path again.
Let it rain. Let it rain.
I’ve been wand’ring this desert, it seems like forever.
So dusty and dry, I’m blown around like a feather.
I look to the sky; I see a change in the weather.
Did I feel a drop of rain?
Let it rain. Let it rain.
Let it rain like a river rushing over my head
Like Lazarus raise me up from the dead.
I choose to follow though not easily lead.
I’m back on the path again.
.
Let it rain. Let it rain.
